Heidelberg Tour

The best of Heidelberg – a rewarding tour with some technical challenges. The tour begins with a technically challenging section from Heiligenberg down to Heidelberg’s old town, which boasts both cultural and gastronomic highlights. The tour then leads steeply along the road and then further up the mountain in the forest to the Königstuhl. The route leads to Posseltslust along well-maintained paths. At the Hilsbacher Tor gate, we recommend a stop at the Kohlhof. A rapid descent takes you down to Neckargemünd and through the historic old town, which offers numerous other places to stop for refreshments, to the other side of the Neckar to Kleingemünd. Halfway up the slope, you roll along with wonderful views of the Neckar valley as far as Heidelberg-Ziegelhausen. From here, the long climb up to Zollstock and further back to Heiligenberg requires stamina and endurance.
