A few meters in altitude on paved paths with a moderate gradient. However, this route should not be underestimated due to its steep natural paths. Speed quickly gets the adrenaline pumping here.
There is something for every mountain biker here. With a tour length of approx. 26 km and an altitude difference of 620 m, this tour is suitable for everyone, whether with family, friends or as an after-work tour. Most of the route is on paved paths, straight uphill with moderate gradients. Variety is provided by trails and small downhill trails. These can be mastered without any problems, but the adrenaline level rises at higher speeds. As is typical for the Main valley, the route offers plenty of variety. The tour begins and ends at Bürgstadt’s historic town hall and leads past old half-timbered houses and many wineries, which invite you to taste wine and enjoy a snack during the “Häckerzeit”. At the edge of the vineyards, the path slowly climbs parallel to the Main valley towards Centgrafenkapelle. Here you should definitely enjoy the view over Miltenberg before the tour continues uphill towards the Drachenrampe. Playful and flowing natural trails (Foubi Trail and Trail 21) lead back down into the valley. Natural paths, forest trails and small single trails continue along the route to the border trail. From here, the route first follows a gravel path and then a short, steep trail through sandstone formations to the excavation at the former ring wall. Passing stone pillars (hay pillars), millstones and other evidence of earlier stonemasonry, the route leads back down to the Centrafenkapelle chapel. Above the Erftal valley, the route leads along the vineyards towards the forest. After two final short single trails (Wildsautrail), the route leads down through the vineyards with a wonderful view over the Erftal valley down to the cycle path, which leads back to the starting point.
